Kobe — Ayuko Ito claimed her first title in three winters and Yuzo Takamido won his third straight crown at the national short-track speedskating championships Sunday.Ito and Yui Sakai both earned a total of 3,600 points after four races at Port Island Sports Center. Ito, who finished tied with Yui Sakai on points, was given the title because of her victory in a longer 1,500-meter race under the tiebreaking rules.In the men's event, Takamido collected 2,968 points, 493 more than second-place Daisuke Uemura.The two-day meet doubled as a selection trial for the world championships in Shanghai next March. Takamido and Ito were among the five men and five women named to represent Japan in the Chinese city.
