Maradona show tickets sell briskly

SYDNEY — Promoters say $1,800 VIP seats for Diego Maradona's "The Life and Times" show in Sydney on May 29 have sold out within hours of going on sale.

Those purchasing the premium seats get to meet and be photographed with Maradona, who is now coaching the United Arab Emirates team Al Wasl, at pre-show event hosted by former Australia goalkeeper Mark Bosnich.

Maradona will do a second show in Melbourne on May 30, discussing his life and career.

The 51-year-old is considered by many to be the best player ever, and led Argentina to victory in the 1986 World Cup, where he also scored the so-called "goal of the century" and the controversial "Hand of God" goal against England.
